Hi,

I have CentOS release 6.5, with ZFS RAID10 configured as follows

[root@s01 tank]# service zfs status
pool: tank
state: ONLINE
scan: none requested
config:

NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
tank ONLINE 0 0 0
mirror-0 ONLINE 0 0 0
sda ONLINE 0 0 0
sdb ONLINE 0 0 0
mirror-1 ONLINE 0 0 0
sdc ONLINE 0 0 0
sdd ONLINE 0 0 0

errors: No known data errors

NAME USED AVAIL REFER MOUNTPOINT
tank 28.8G 3.54T 33K /tank
tank/HA 1.91M 2.00G 1.91M /tank/HA
tank/store1 12.7G 2.99T 12.7G /tank/store1
tank/store2 16.1G 1008G 16.1G /tank/store2
[root@s01 tank]

so my tank is 3.54TB, and i have 8 new more disks of 2TB, I want to have more storage capacity. I am not getting how i should add these new 8 disks to this RAID10. Can anyone help me with commands ?
I am new to ZFS and want to understand it more.

Thanks,
/SaM

You add the mirrors in groups.

Remember: you are adding vdevs, not disks. A vdev can be: single disk (partition), mirror of 2+ disks, raid-z1/2/3 of 2/3/4+ disks.

zpool add <poolname> <pooltype> <disks>
like:

zpool add tank mirror gpt/mirror5 gpt/mirror6
zpool add tank mirror gpt/mirror7 gpt/mirror8
zpool add tank mirror gpt/mirror9 gpt/mirror10
zpool add tank mirror gpt/mirror11 gpt/mirror12

After having executed that, you have a pool with 6 mirror-vdevs of 2 disks each, so 12 disks total. You should have your disks partitioned and labled to reflect that.

I see now you use CentOS so Linux. And you use ugly raw disks. ZFSguru dislikes disks used for ZFS that way. But in your case the 'gpt/mirror11' could be sdj for example.

Hint: if you let ZFSguru create the partitions, then use CentOS with separate boot disk or install to one partition. Then you can switch ZFS platforms much more easily without your choices made now makes a migration more difficult later.
