Is there a tab on the WEBgui to enable NFS version 4 for a share?

I tried to vi edit 'rc.conf' and 'exports' as mentioned here:

http://www.unix.com/man-page/freebsd/4/nfsv4/

This did not produce the desired effect, and took me here:

http://zfsguru.com/forum/zfsgurusupport/1015

With this log output:

(mod_fastcgi.c.2534) FastCGI-stderr: PHP Notice: Undefined offset: 3 in /usr/local/www/zfsguru/includes/zfs.php on line 540

I may be able to fix that, but this seems like I'm in the weeds.

Where is the control that sets this?

Or will I need to proceed with editing files, and running 'zfs set' commands to set a version 4 property?

Hi,

Apologies for the late response. I fixed the PHP notice you mentioned, but forgot to answer your inquiry.

Some things:
-> the PHP notice is of no harm, it does not influence anything after the fix; other than silencing the PHP notice. It cannot cause any problem before or after the fix. It is harmless.
-> to enable NFSv4 you need to edit the /etc/rc.conf and configure it. At the very least, you need:

nfs_server_enable="YES"
nfsv4_server_enable="YES"
nfsuserd_enable="YES"

The GUI only configures NFSv3, so you will need to configure NFSv4 by hand. Personally I'm not very fond of ACLs. But i do hope to create a new user drag&drop ACL page for NFSv4 someday.

Good luck and please keep us informed!
