I think I messed up zfs.php. I cant access web gui.

/var/log/lighttpd/error.log says:

2015-08-25 18:27:27: (log.c.164) server started
2015-08-25 18:34:21: (server.c.1563) server stopped by UID = 0 PID = 1402
2015-08-25 18:35:37: (log.c.164) server started
2015-08-25 19:12:59: (server.c.1563) server stopped by UID = 0 PID = 81298
2015-08-25 19:17:07: (log.c.164) server started

2015-09-10 19:22:18: (server.c.1563) server stopped by UID = 0 PID = 85779

/usr/local/www/zfsguru/includes/zfs.php line 529-543 says:

$prop = array();
if (@is_array($output))
for ($i = 0; $i < count($output); $i++)
{
$split = preg_split('/[\t]+/m', $output[$i]);
$name = trim($split[0]);
$property = trim($split[1]);
$prop[$name][$property]['name'] = trim($split[0]);
$prop[$name][$property]['property'] = $property;
$prop[$name][$property]['value'] = trim($split[2]);
$prop[$name][$property]['source'] = trim($split[3]);
}
return $prop;
}

I don't know what to do.

A PHP notice is not an error.

It says 'server stopped by UID = 0' this means the server was stopped by the root user.

Can you give me more details how/when this happens? Are you sure you did not stop the webserver yourself? Did you make any changes to your system on the command line/shell?

I upgraded all outdated ports with portmaster and rebooted. I have done this many many times with no problem.

Can you tell me more about your problem?

What exactly does not work? Can you not connect to the web-interface at all?

Check whether the web-interface is running:

service lighttpd status

Try to start it:

service lighttpd start

Check whether the port is open:

sockstat -4l | grep 80

Lighttp doesn't start so I can not connect to the web-interface.

[root@zfsguru1 /home/ssh]# service lighttpd start
Starting lighttpd.
[root@zfsguru1 /home/ssh]# 2015-09-11 11:46:11: (log.c.148) opening errorlog '/var/log/lighttpd/error.log' failed: Permission denied
service lighttpd status
lighttpd is not running.

ls -l /var/log/
ls -l /var/log/lighttpd

If the permissions have changed, then Lighttpd cannot start. This should never happen!

Anyway, this may fix your issue:

chown 888:888 /var/log/lighttpd
service lighttpd start
