Hi All,

Installed this service on a 10.1-001 build after upgrading from 9.2-001.
Service does take a very very long time to install, then says the installation script failed but shows an Owncloud icon & tab in the webinterface. After a very long look-up it says's 404 not found.
Anyone running Owncloud on 10.1?

It could be that the remote tarball is no longer to be found. Due to the license, it has to be downloaded on your computer instead of being shipped with the package.

I can test it later today.

Looks like a 10.1 TAR isn't present in the services dir.

service-owncloud-10.0-001-amd64-6.tar
service-owncloud-10.0-002-amd64-7.tar
service-owncloud-11.0-001-amd64-8.tar
service-owncloud-9.1-004-amd64-1.tar
service-owncloud-9.1-005-amd64-2.tar
service-owncloud-9.1-006-amd64-4.tar
service-owncloud-9.2-001-amd64-5.tar
service-owncloud-9.2-001-i386-5.tar

It does exist, but not on the bravo server but on the alpha server:

http://alpha.zfsguru.com/svc/service-owncloud-10.1-001-amd64-8.tar

The problem is that Owncloud is not contained in this package, because that is not allowed by the license of Owncloud. It has to be downloaded as you install the service. If the people behind Owncloud remove the owncloud tarball, then the service installation will fail.

That's too bad :-(. I also tried the following:
portsnap fetch
portsnap update
cd /usr/ports/www/owncloud/ && make install clean

failed, sadly.

Should be fixed with 10.1-002. But after logging in with the new created admin account, you still get an error. This is a one-time error message. If you refresh the page, all should be working.

Good luck!

Looks like it's not working for me, exactly the same error as in my first post :-(

Are you running 10.1-002 system image? Did you try rebooting?

It works for me with LiveCD, but i found something that could be a problem when installed normally, with Root-on-ZFS installation. I'll ask Jason to reupload owncloud for 10.1-002. Once he done that, uninstall the service and download and install it again.

I just uploaded an updated version of Owncloud for the 10.1-002 system image. I also fixed the warning about WebDAV. I did not test whether webDAV actually works though. But at least you should be able to run Owncloud now. ;-)

Some bugs in the beta10 web-interface:
- after installing MySQL and Owncloud, you get a blank page, just refresh the page.
- you may get a warning about a newer version available if you 'update' (downgrade) to 10.1-001. This is due to a change in the new build system. To be resolved once I introduce the new GuruDB remote database in beta11 or beta12.

Cheers,
Jason

Seems to work now :). Only through HTTP, through HTTPS I get a 404.

Fixed your post. It breaks when using special characters; bug will be gone when we switch to new forum this summer.

Well i have installed ZFS Guru 10.1-001 with beta-9 web interface and i love it. I have not migrate to 10.1-002 and beta-10 web because i'm not sure if enough stable yet.

I have the same problem. I can't install Owncloud. Installed, desintalled, rebooted a lot of combinations, after i said, these is not a scientific method, i can't be so ignorant too... after all i teach computer architecture at university, but not means these is a sign of be smarter, but i think i need to provide you with more information.

Well, then i enter in ssh and run the script myself in the root enviroment (i hope not make more trouble) and i find these

Owncloud is known broken on older system releases; because the remote download file is not there any more. Owncloud on 10.1-002 system image should work i think. This system image should be stable as it is based on 10.1-RELEASE branch (RELENG_10_1).

    Hi Cipher

    Thanks for fixing the post.

The file is there. I run the command from ssh and retrieve the file from owncloud website. The problem is the hash inside de script is different from the file downloaded. SHA256 and MD5 hash are all wrong. I checkit step by step. I can fix the script manually and install it, but i think a new package in the alpha server is necessary with the new hashes and fix the db with some script, for the new update.

Not all users can migrate to 10.1-002 because 0.2.0-beta10 interface is needed and is not working with Root-on-ZFS pools with v5000. Another thing is 10.1-001 is stable and 10.1-002 is RC1. I think from the standpoint of software engineering and communities fixing bugs in stable release is very important.

I install 10.1-002 and i have issues with the apps option in the left corner of owncloud web interface. Is working but is really slow, more than 5 min for listing the new apps and in that time all cgi in the ZFS Guru interface on other tabs in the navigator is holding without response. When the owncloud tab is liberated, then again all is working. This is an odd behavior that i can't reproduce in a Linux install that i have tested in a virtual machine. Owncloud is version 7.0.2 installed from the bravo server.

Other thing not working is FTP because they said PHP FTP is not installed. I was testing these and other things like HTTPS, internal updating not working and the possible solutions.

Any recommendation for debug the waiting time in the owncloud add apps options. I tried to look in logs but i don't find anything usefull about php-cgi or lighthttpd himself.

    Thanks,
    Alex
