Hi there after installing virtual box i can't get it running.
In need of some help.

This the error report i get back:An error occurred communicating with your vboxwebsrv. No more requests will be sent by phpVirtualBox until the error is corrected and this page is refreshed. The details of this connection error should be displayed in a subsequent dialog box.

This occurs when the VirtualBox service is not running; go to Services->Manage and start the Virtualbox service.

Can you provide me with the output of these two commands when executed as root:

/services/virtualbox/service_register.sh STATUS

    /services/virtualbox/service_register.sh QUERY

Okay, then it should be running.

If you navigate to the panel web-interface, can you use the service as intended?

Go to the Services page and click the Virtualbox logo on top of the page. Then you go to the web-interface to configure Virtualbox virtual machines.

It may be that the ZFSguru service improperly detects it is not running, while it is actually running. If you can use the web-interface normally, this would appear to be the case.

Could you also send me the output of:

ps auxww | grep -i virtualbox

    and

ps auxww | grep -i vbox

Thx, when I go to Services I see the virtual box icon in the ZFSguru service panels section. When I click on that I get the same error as above. Looking around I couldn't see a web-interface panel, is this something different?

Btw in the meantime I've also checked the latest release 11.0.006 which gave the same error. Is there a way to directly navigate to the web fronted for virtual box, maybe I can check that?

Below the output of the commands:
    --

I can see it running just fine. I will need to perform an install and retrace your steps to find out what might be going on here.

It appears Virtualbox is running fine, the service definitions are correct in that the path of 'vboxwebsrv' should be detected. But still you get an error trying to use the 'phpVirtualbox' web-interface. So i'm not sure what is going on here.

Maybe i have time this evening, but no guarantees!

If I can help let me know.

Doing a telnet or wget to localhost:18083 doesn't result in anything except connection refused. Don't know if that is normal, but maybe it helps
