Hello again,
Another quick question...
Creating users in Samba, and enabling the user also in the unix environment (there is a option somewhere in Samba settings web page), places those users also in the system passwd file, but those are not operational/usable accounts for terminal sessions. Is that the intended functionality?

(The users are added with no shell, no home directory) so essentially one cannot ssh or telnet in with that account.
I discovered that trying to copy some files across with rsync/ssh from a linux box, and to my surprise the account I've created in Samba didn't work.
I can certainly work things out from a root session, but want to confirm what is the intended functionality here.
