I am trying to install ZFS guru on a FreeBSD 11.0
I am getting the following error before ZFS guru installation
Error: Failed writing to /usr/local/www/data//config/config.bin - check permissions!

The error is failing to write to a path that does not exit " /usr/local/www/data//config/config.bin" notice the two continuous slashes?
Where does it pick the path from? Maybe I could fix this? it looks like procedure.php on line 150 that has this directive...

You are trying to do this with ZFSguru 0.3 right? And not the old 0.2 tarball?

Just asking ;)

The path /usr/local/www/data is the default location for a web-server, and usually /usr/local/www/data is a symbolic link. In this case, it should point towards /usr/local/www/zfsguru. You can test this with:

realpath /usr/local/www/data

The double // slash should not cause any problems, for example this also works:

cd /usr/local/www/data//config

The problem is probably that your web-server is not running as user 888 (zfsguru-web) which is why it cannot overwrite the config.bin configuration file located at /usr/local/www/zfsguru/config/config.bin.

So following that URL in the beginning is not that bad. Let me know how far you come ok? You will need to modify the lighttpd configuration to make it run as zfsguru-web (888) after having created this user.
