Hello all. I have been reading the forums for a while and have been using ZFS guru for the past 2-3 months and love it so far. I just purchased a Gigabyte I-Ram to use as a cheap ZIL for my Zpool and I am having trouble with it. I am not sure if it is a freebsd issue or if there is something else I need to enable to get it to work with zfs guru.

I have tried changing the sata settings from AHCI to IDE (Enhanced and Compatible Modes) the bios recognizes it and a test install of windows XP recognized it as well. ZFS Guru however will not recognize it as a disk device.

It appears that the boot loader during initial startup can see storage space on the i-ram as it lists it as Drive C: Disk 0 when all other devices are removed from the system except for the CD-Drive which is booting the live cd as a test.

Any suggestions as to how I can get this working with zfs guru or am I out of luck?

You will need to post your 'dmesg' kernel messages. You can find them under Status->Logs->Kernel. This will contain the hardware that may or may not be recognized. If there is no driver available, you will see "no driver attached" near the name of the detected device.

Here is the the log from my second zfs system I am building. It also sees the I-Ram in the bios and during the livecd bootup sequence.

I have tried changing the sata settings from AHCI to best primary care physician near me IDE (Enhanced and Compatible Modes) the bios recognizes it and a test install of windows XP recognized it as well. ZFS Guru however will not recognize it as a disk device.

I have been reading the forums for a while https://chinesebuffetnearmenow.net/chinese-takeout-near-me-foods/ and have been using ZFS guru for the past 2-3 months and love it so far. I just purchased a Gigabyte I-Ram to use as a cheap ZIL for my Zpool and I am having trouble with it.
