I just put online a new system image that is based on 8.2-RELEASE and contains a new infrastructure for ZFSguru services with two services preinstalled that act as internal bit-torrent client to download system images and other extensions.

More information on this page:

Upcoming 0.1.8-preview3 release
This system image would be bundled with upcoming 0.1.8-preview3 livecd release, but you can already download it using the Install->step 2 page. If you do this, keep in mind you cannot use the new functions yet in 0.1.7 or the older 0.1.8 preview versions. Also keep in mind that this system image does not contain istgt (iSCSI-target) package, since this would be contained in a future service extension instead.

Service extensions
This system image is the first to support the upcoming ZFSguru service extensions - optional packages that you can easily add to your system; LiveCD or Root-on-ZFS. But older system image versions (8.2-001 and 9.0-001) will not support these extensions.

FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE should be a very stable platform for your ZFS needs, and combined with the new extensions i hope this would make a great platform where you can keep your system tidy, with things only running or even installed when they really need to be.
